PEER Maintenance-Free Bearing

When you’re working in the field, productivity takes a hit every time you have to stop to replace a clogged disc bearing. Add that to your time in the shop relubricating, and you could be running into an efficiency problem.

But there’s no way around it. Bearing maintenance is just part of the job … isn’t it?

Not necessarily. AMCO has upgraded to PEER® Maintenance-Free Bearings. They feature the same design as the Protect-O-Shield® Bearings AMCO has employed in the past—triple-lip sealed, with a protective shield that covers both sides of the bearing to defend against dirt and debris. The difference is the bearing itself, which is trunnion-mounted and maintenance-free. With this bearing in place, daily lubrication becomes a thing of the past.

“It’s a highly durable bearing that growers don’t have to invest in maintaining,” said AMCO Marketing Manager Michael Atwood. “Growers can expect to work up to 25 more acres per day with the time they save. Plus, they won’t have to constantly purchase grease to keep bearings lubricated.”

The maintenance-free bearings are housed in high-strength ductile iron and have a longer life than their predecessors. They are interchangeable with existing mounting patterns and compatible with both Rigid and Shock Absorber Bearing Risers.
