What is the proper way to grease my Protect-O-Shield Bearings?
  1. The bearings should be re-lubricated with appropriate conforming grease on a daily basis after each use.
  2. During lubrication, the bearing should purge new grease and then be rotated to ensure complete fill of the cavity.
  3. The bearings should be re-lubricated with appropriate conforming grease at the end of the season.
What is the cutting depth of my disc blade?

A good rule of thumb is that the normal cutting depth of a disc blade is approximately one-third the blade diameter. For example, with 32″ blades, the cutting depth is about 8″. With 26″ blades, the cutting depth is about 6.5″.

A disc will incorporate residue into the ground roughly as deep as half the cutting depth. To break dirt clods most effectively, your second pass through the field with your disc should not be on the same angle as the first pass. Enter the field for the second pass anywhere from 30° to 90° off the angle of the first pass; this will help reduce streaks in the residue and provide a smoother soil finish.
